Afia Umber, MD
Dallas Nephrology Associates (DNA) welcomes Dr. Afia Umber, who joined our group practice in September 2017. Dr. Umber will see patients at our Bishop and Dallas Transplant Institute offices.
In 1998, Dr. Umber received her medical degree while attending Dow Medical University in Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency in 2008 at Alameda County Medical Center, her nephrology fellowship in 2011 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science, and her transplant fellowship in 2013 at Tulane University. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, is a member of American Society of Nephrology and American Society of Transplantation. Dr. Umber speaks English, Hindi, Arabic and Urdu.
